Day 3 - Personal Devotional

Day 3

Now if any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God-who gives generously and ungrudgingly - and it will be given.  But ask in faith without doubting.  For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.  James 1:5-7

What do you expect when you pray?  When we pray with expectation we are praying in faith.  The passionate prayers of faith filled people who are walking in step with Jesus can produce powerful results.  Pastor Jay often makes the statement, “It is impossible to pray and something not change.  Pray is an act of submission and humility, recognizing our need for God.  Sometimes it is hard to pray when the situation seems impossible, but remembers, nothing is impossible with our God.  He is the same today as he was yesterday.  The same God you are reading about in the Bible, who worked miracles that almost seem unreal, is the same God with you, working for you and through your prayers.

Know that God never wavers in his love for you.  You can trust him completely and he is waiting to answer your prayers.

  • What are you trusting God for during these 21 days?

  • How can you pray with more confidence and less doubt?

  • Find promises in his word that answer your need and address your circumstance and write them down, and start to pray them over your need and circumstances.
