Day 11 - Personal Devotional

Day 11

Pray in the Spirit:  Romans 8:26-27;  In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit himself intercede for us with unspoken groaning.  And he who searches out hearts nows the mind of the Spirit, because he intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

I Corinthians 14:15;  I will pray with the Spirit, and I will pray with my understanding.

I am so thankful to God for my heavenly language!  The baptism in the Holy Spirit is not only a blessing, but so needed in our lives.  The initial gift that comes and manifests when we receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, our prayer language (speaking in tongues) is a powerful prayer tool.  When we pray in the Spirit we are allowing Holy Spirit to pray through us, the perfect will of God, and because God does everything in answer to prayer, he uses us to release on earth as it is in heaven.  So prayer is always a partnership with Holy Spirit.  When we pray with our understanding he wants to illuminate our hearts and minds to know his purposes for our prayers, and even when our understanding falls short, we can pray in the Spirit and still release God to work in our situations and circumstances.

If you have never been baptized in the Holy Spirit and received your prayer language, ask Jesus today.  It is the promise of the Father;  Jesus is the baptizer;  and the Holy Spirit  is who fills you. He wants to immerse you in his presence.  All we need to do is ask and the Father will give the Holy Spirit to us.  If you have already received, yield to him today, ask for a fresh baptism and pray both in the Spirit and with understanding!
