Day 16 - Personal Devotional

Habakkuk 2:2,3;  Then the Lord replied:  “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.  For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false.  Though it linger, wait for it;  it will certainly come and will no delay.”

What has the Lord been speaking to your heart in these days?  Is there something that once you were passionate about and believed the Lord would have you pursue, but it faded into the background and was crowded out by daily life?  Maybe during these 21 Days he has rekindled a desire for a ministry, or has put a dream in your heart once again and you can’t ignore that he is speaking to you about it again!  I encourage you, write it down, read it daily and start to pray into it.  God isn’t one who puts dreams and desires into our hearts to frustrate us or to humour us for a season;  he puts those things there because at the appointed time, if we are faithful, they will come to fruition!

I especially like those things he puts into our hearts that seem so far beyond our ability to achieve on our own that it is only through his power and his resources it will be accomplished.  Maybe you feel that you’ve never been given a vision for something that is bigger than you.  Ask the Lord.  Discover the thrill of being a part of something that is bigger than yourself, bigger than your own daily life, and step out watch the Lord accomplish what you once never dreamed he could through you.

Dream big because you serve an even bigger God.
